Meet our elders
Scripture teaches that the local church is to be governed by a Board of Elders subject to the ultimate authority of Christ and Scripture (Acts 14.23). Elders, who serve at the appointment of the congregation, share leadership and are organized as an Elder Board. The Elders govern the operation and ministries of Manahawkin Baptist Church.

God, in His great mercy, opened my heart to the gospel at a young age.
Years later He has brought me into a position of leadership here at MBC. My prayer is that
I will serve Him well, leading with love, and helping others to come to Christ and to grow in faith. I also pray that we will join together at MBC and work towards what is valuable in Jesus sight.

I have been attending MBC since 2008. In that time, regardless of the ups and downs, God has continued to bless me in countless ways. I decided long ago that if He called me to something, who was I to say no? The Lord has allowed me to serve the people of MBC, and I always want to remember: “Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory” (Psalm 115:1).

| My life has been marked with continued blessings from God, and His grace has underpinned the paths He has brought me though. I received a Masters Degree in Bible and Theological Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. We have 4 children, two adult children that live near Cincinnati and Maggie and Lillie. We moved to New Jersey just over 4 years ago and have been at MBC since the Spring of 2024. In my time here I have been a part of the worship and tech team, and I have been blessed with the opportunity to lead a life group on Tuesday evening. |
